In this episode I interviewed Christian Barnes, the President & Founder of Expedition Outside.
Expedition Outside is a unique company for fishermen, enthusiasts, and land owners. They have the mission of creating private land access on demand. While based in SW Colorado which is blessed with an abundance of public lands, I still noticed most public waterways and lands are under constant stress and increased man made pressures.
Christian has been passionate about fishing since he was a kid and has been able to create a business that makes it easier for people to get out on the water without stressing about whether they will be able to find a place to park their boat or vehicle.
In this interview we talked about how Christian got started with Expedition Outside, what kind of clients he works with and what kind of work he does for them, why he chose to start his business in Colorado Springs instead of another part of the country where it might have been easier for him to find customers, how he's gotten funding for his company so far (with plans for more funding later down the road), what kind of tools or software he uses as part of his business operations (and if there are any others out there that could benefit other entrepreneurs).
